He was born December 27, 1915, Chicago, IL. Son of Abram B. and Ella K., nee King; he married, Marie Peterson, October 27, 1945, Elmhurst, IL; survived by wife Marie McAndless; two sons Richard E. McAndless, Barrington Hills, IL, Henry D. McAndless, Hoffman Estates; one daughter Janet E. (Greg) Balzer, Plainfield, IL; two grandchildren; one brother Glenn (Patricia) McAndless, Gainsville, MO; preceded in death by one daughter Karen M. McAndless; one brother Kenneth McAndless. He was a production supervisor for Stuecklen Manufacturing Company, Franklin Park. WWII Army Veteran.
