A Will County physician has been charged with battery for allegedly molesting a woman during a medical exam.

Dr. Kishor Jain, 48, of the 700 block of Tanglewood Lane, Frankfort, was charged this week with two counts of misdemeanor battery. A young mother alleges Jain rubbed her thighs and breasts in his Frankfort office Dec. 18, according to a criminal complaint filed by Illinois Atty. Gen. Jim Ryan.

The attorney general’s office took up the case after Will County State’s Atty. Jeff Tomczak recused himself because Jain was his children’s pediatrician.

Jain defended himself Thursday in a telephone interview.

“I know [the charges] are all false,” he said, adding that he plans to continue practicing while the case is pending.

Jain, who has been licensed in Illinois since 1978, has a clean record with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
