Memorial funeral services for Heinz Altrock, age 71, of Oxford, WI, will be held Saturday, February 16, 2002, 11 a.m. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oxford with Reverend David Totsky officiating. Heinz was born June 15, 1930, in East Prussia, the son of Otto and Minna, nee Blank, Altrock. In 1953 he emigrated to the United States and settled in Chicago, IL. On February 12, 1955, he married Johanna Kubowicz. Heinz worked for 26 years as a tool and die maker at the Symons Corporation in Des Plaines, IL. In 1993 Heinz and Johanna moved to rural Oxford. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially loved being with his grandchildren. Heinz is survived by his wife, Johanna; son, Heinz O. (Mary) Altrock, of Jackson, MI, daughters Ingrid (Kenneth) Bryant of Minooka, IL, and Angelica (Raymond) Bachewicz of South Elgin, IL; sisters Ilse (Max) Young of Oxford, and Gisela (Ray) Shore of Norridge, IL; four grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
