Adele Viola Lauer, 92, Delavan area resident, died Monday at Ft. Atkinson Memorial Hospital. Adele was born Dec. 9, 1909, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Louis Niebling and Anna Recker. Adele married the Rev. Walter Lauer, June 15, 1940, in St. Louis, MO. Rev. Lauer predeceased her April 23, 1993. Adele was an active member of UCC-Congregational Church and its Faith Circle. Adele is survived by two daughters, Mary Lauer of Westmont, IL and Lois Lauer of Palos Heights, IL; one son, David (Lynne) Lauer of Elkhart Lake, WI; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Ethan and Elizabeth; one daughter, Ruth, three brothers and four sisters all predeceased her. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at the UCC-Congregational Church with the Rev. Laura McLeod officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. to service time on Friday. Memorials may be made to the church. Betzer Funeral Home is serving the Lauer Family.
