How appropriate is ABC’s firing of “Monday Night Football’s” inept Dennis Miller. He was a bust from the start. He added absolutely nothing. In fact, his irritating, ill-timed interjections only distracted from the modicum of professionalism presumably required. Endlessly trying to be clever, his comments were forced, contrived and inauthentic. Worse, he simply wasn’t funny.
Supporting the old adage “more is less,” surely two in the booth–without Miller’s grating presence–will be more effective. And while Eric Dickerson’s dismissal was a gimme, too bad Dan Fouts got hung out to dry.
