Frederick Eugene Mahoney, peacefully and with his family by his side. Fred passed away in Fresno on Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at the age of 80 years. He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife, Elayne; his children, Alan, Lisa, Lance (Patricia), Patrick, John (Laura), Deirdre, Bryan (Jan), Blaise, Peter (Dianne), Mary (Nelson), Peggy (Dave) and the late Paul; his 37 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren will deeply miss their loving “Papa”. Frederick was born in Chicago on June 27, 1921 to Goldie and Frederick Mahoney. While attending Marquette University he met Elayne Patricia Allen. They married on Sept. 10, 1942. This September would have been their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Frederick was a restaurateur and a proprietor of numerous businesses before his retirement in 1982.
