Robert M. Walsh, 90, recently of Hinsdale and Burr Ridge, formerly of Oregon, IL, died Friday March 1, 2002, in LaGrange Comm. Hosp. He was born Aug. 3, 1911 in Gary, IN, the son of Robert and Blanche Walsh. He was a captain in the Army during WWII, was a member of Oregon V.F.W. Post 8739, St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon, and was a corporate attorney for Inland Steel, retiring after more than 40 years of employment. He is survived by daughters, Helen (Gary) Bredesen, Oregon, and Katy (Ken) Lynch, CO, son, Pat (Diane) Walsh, Hinsdale; grandchildren, Anna, Patrick, Albert, Robbie, Sam and Kate Walsh, and Chris (Debbie) Krup. He was preceded in death by son Robert Jr.; and brothers, William and Edward. Christian Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at 12 p.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, 4th and Monroe St., Oregon, with Rev. William Budden, Pastor, celebrating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to St. Mary Church. 815-732-7272.
