The announcement of the birth of a baby born from in-vitro fertilization and the technique known as preimplantation genetic diagnosis is appalling.
The child is, of course, created in the image and likeness of God. But the means used to bring that child into existence are a gross violation of the moral law.
Hence all artificial methods of creating life–especially in-vitro fertilization–should be outlawed.
