Call it a matter of taste, but we’ve got news that’ll probably either make you go “Mmmm” or “Ewww.” H.J. Heinz, the same company that dreamed up green and purple ketchup, is coming out with chocolate french fries. Just when you thought junk food couldn’t get any junkier, a new line of frozen potato products called Funky Fries will hit supermarkets in May and includes Cocoa Crispers, or cocoa-flavored fries. Other Funky Fries varieties are sky blue, sour cream-and-chives flavored or sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. So, does the thought of mixing fat-saturated carbohydrates with caffeine-laden chocolate gross you out? Or does the marrying of chocolate and fries sound closer to a match made in heaven? Depends on your taste, buds.
