Harriet S. Birecki, nee Mulowicz, age 88, of Centerville, passed away Friday, March 8, 2002 at Kettering Medical Center. Harriet was born on Sept. 19, 1914 in Chicago, IL to Bernard and Apolonia Mulowicz, nee Wasoska. She was a veteran of WW II and worked in accounts receivable at DESC. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Christopher Birecki; sister, Anatolia Andrea; and godson, Stanley. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Peter Paul Birecki; son, Bernard Birecki of Goshen, OH; grandchildren, Adam, Eric and Jaime Birecki; goddaughter, Charissa; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at St. Leonard’s Church. Interment will be at the V.A. National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service, Tuesday, at the church.
