James A. Pecka, 88, passed away in North Little Rock, AR, March 14, 2002. He was born in Chicago, IL, Sept. 20, 1913. He was a tool and die machinist for Garden City Plating in Chicago for 40 years. He lived in Arlington Heights until his wife, Charlotte Spas, died in September 1985, then lived with his son, James E. Pecka, in Palm Harbor, FL until 1990, then with his daughter, Joan K. Duncan and son-in-law Carroll in Sherwood, AR. He is survived by his son and daughter; three grandchildren, James O’Keefe, John O’Keefe and Jacquelyn Maloney; and five great-grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, White Sox fan, gardener, good cook and family man. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL at 11 a.m. Thursday.
