The Village Board has annexed 12 acres north of town.

Sixteen homes on 20,000-square-foot lots are planned for the land at Illinois Highway 59 and Roslyn Road.

The $700,000 homes would have 3,000 sto 4,000 square feet of space. The subdivision would include a drainage pond.

In other business, the board is finalizing its position on the best ways to cope with traffic along Hough Street to include in a document to be forwarded to the Illinois Department of Transportation. Trustees, who back a recommendation made by the Transportation Advisory Committee that opposes widening the road and rerouting traffic, are expected to discuss the matter April 1.
