Howard Arthur Thrun, 81, of Deer Park. Veteran of WW II serving in the Air Force. He was a retired executive/owner of Anchor Products Company in Addison, IL. Was an avid outdoorsman and traveler who enjoyed fishing and hunting and exploring exciting and exotic places around the world. A gentleman who inspired all who came to know him and love him will be dearly missed. Loving husband of Helen N.; beloved father of of Howard Jr. (Sandee), Robert (Fumei), Sheryl (Frank) Carroll and Gary (Lisa); dear grandfather of Laura, Amanda, Sara, Franklin, Anna, Ali, Nicole and also Debi, Denise, Darrin, Jin, William and Richard; great-grandfather of nine. Visitation Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m. at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL and Friday 9 a.m. until funeral hour of 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 N.
