Jean Barbeau, 77, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at her home in Charlotte, NC, born Dec. 1, 1924 in Chicago, daughter of the late Louis Peck and Alice Veronica Sinnott Peck. Survived by four sons, Thomas B. (Diane) of Sherrills Ford, NC, Donald L. (Barbara) of Evanston, IL, Gary J. and Larry F. (Joy) Barbeau, all of Charlotte; sister, Gertrude Antonelli of Florida; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred (1986) and a son, James (1993). “She was our rock, the one who was always there with all the answers and a hug.
