Judith Aaron Schimberg, born Oct. 1, 1906, died April 9, 2002, daughter of Rose and Henry Aaron; wife of Dr. Arnold Schimberg; beloved mother of Elsa Dimick, Henry Schimberg, Dorothy Gartman and Jacob Schimberg; loving sister to Ruth Auerbach, Benjamin Aaron, Daniel Aaron and the late David Aaron; loving sister-in-law to Oscar Auerbach and Elanor Aaron; mother-in-law to Gerald Gartman, Linda Schimberg, Dean Dimick and Holly Schimberg; devoted grandmother to 12; great-grandmother to 10. Our mother’s greatest legacy is her passionate commitment to maintaining a vibrant, loving and cohesive family unit spanning all generations. After the death of her husband, Judith courageously embarked on a career in Social Services to support her children. She brought the same intelligence, enthusiasm and concern for people to this as she did to all other endeavors. She created a home for her children, family and friends filled with great food and warm hospitality. She engendered in her children a love and reverance for books, music and the arts. To the end of her life our mother’s keen intellect and sense of humor remained in tact. Our memories of her will remain a comfort and inspiration and the value she embraced will always be cherished by her family. We will love you and miss you always.
