Do small planes have to fly over downtown Chicago (“Against city’s wishes, FAA lifts flight ban,” Metro, April 12)? No. The city is physically large, but small planes typically move at a speed of at least 100 miles per hour, a lot faster than we do on the ground. Given the new world we are living in, we should make them take the scenic route.
