All America should have the opportunity to view the picture of the death and destruction in the Jenin refugee camp described in “UN’s Jenin mission delayed; residents tell of deaths” (News, April 24). For example, how can anyone justify the Israeli bulldozing of a house and burying a mentally disabled and bedridden person inside while his mother pleads with the soldiers? The last words of her son were “Oh God! Oh God!”
These people have been living in squalor in refugee camps for decades after having been driven from their homes and land by Israel with U.S. economic and military support. The U.S. should be ashamed to be a partner in Israel’s crimes against humanity.
