Dorothy Kidd Combs passed away Saturday, April 27, 2002 at the age of 87. Beloved widow of Laurence Asbury Combs; loving mother of James Laurence Combs; grandmother of Gregory Morris, Andrew Laurence and Jamison Christopher; great-grandmother of Emily Asbury, MacKenzie Wallace and Andrew James Combs. A native of Macon, MO, daughter of Mary Harriet Fox and Clair Gerald Kidd; sister of the Honorable Herman G. and Frederick W. Kidd; survived by various members of the Hisle family of Jacksonville, MO. Long time resident of Indian Head Park, IL and more recently of Walnut Creek, CA. Active in numerous community service organizations and Edgewood Country Club in La Grange, IL. Recently had been attending Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA. There will be a graveside service at Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette, CA on May 6. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to The Society of the Blind.
