Marshall Sosson, age 91, passed away on April 28, 2002 in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Sosson was born in Chicago on August 18, 1910. He grew up in the Humboldt Park neighborhood and was a graduate of the John Marshall High School. He began his career as a professional musician, playing the violin, as concertmaster for the staff orchestra at WBBM Radio, in the Wrigley Building. When World War II broke out, he served in several Army Air Corps entertainment units. After the war, he settled in California, eventually becoming concertmaster for several major Hollywood motion picture studios, including 20th Century Fox, Columbia, and Disney. His wife, Agnes died in 1993; he was predeceased by three brothers, David (Beulah), Edward (Frances) and Robert (Sylvia); he is survived by two nephews, Steven and Michael, two nieces, Deena and the late Rochelle (Mark) Braly; and one sister-in-law, Sylvia.
