A letter to the editor in the April 28 Voice of the people alerts us to the burgeoning throng of people urinating that the writer anticipates will use the alleys when the summer fairs are over for the day, due to the sale of alcohol at these events. Lamentable as it is, it is, at least, a temporary act.

But what should be addressed as an issue is the protection given to dog owners, whose meager license fees seem to entitle them to let their animals use the parks, sidewalks and alleys as if the city was their private toilet.
