Julia Ellen Barnhill, nee Berndt, born Nov. 11, 1907 in St. Elmo, IL, passed away on May 4, 2002 in Littleton, CO. She was the beloved wife of the late Loyd E. Barnhill. Julia lived in Harvey, IL for many years and also in Eugene, OR. In Harvey, she was a member of the First Christian Church and in Oregon, she was a member of the First Baptist Church and also belonged to the Riverroad Women’s Club. For the last few years, she resided with her son, Carl, and his family in Littleton, CO. She was a dear mother to Richard (Darlene) of Veneta, OR, Madlyn Ostrowski of Homewood, IL., Robert (Mary) of Hidden Hills, CA, Kay Bush of Palos Heights, IL., Bonnie (Bob) Victoria of Clackamus, OR, Carl (Susan) Barnhill of Littleton, CO and the late William Barnhill; she was a loving grandmother ot 14 grandchildren and the late Pamela Binkley; and a wonderful great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren and the late Sean Binkley. Julia was an inspiration to her family and friends and will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Cedar Park Cemetery, 12540 S. Halsted, Chicago at a later date.
