Theodore C. Robinson, of LaGrange, beloved husband of Marynel, nee Werner; loving father of Theodore C. III (Mary) and Peter S. (Charleen); dear grandfather of Kathy, Emily and Anthony. Memorial visitation 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Memorial Service 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Church of Oak Brook (Garden Chapel), 31st Street and York Road. Interment private. Mr. Robinson was born in Chicago on Jan. 22, 1916. He was a 1940 honor graduate of Western Reserve University Law School, Cleveland, OH. He served for four years in World War II, including two years of sea duty as commanding officer of a submarine chaser. Mr. Robinson was Of Counsel with the law firm of Ray, Robinson, Hanninen & Carle since 1986, with 40 years of service as associate, partner and trial counsel in the firm’s Cleveland and Chicago offices. He was admitted to practice in courts in Ohio and Illinois, 10 federal district and appellate courts, and the United States Supreme Court. He was a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the Chicago and American Bar Associations, and the Maritime Law Association of the United States, serving on its Executive Committee from 1981 to 1984. He was a member of the Propeller Club of the United States, serving as the past president of the Club’s Chicago Chapter from 1966 to 1968. Mr. Robinson was a member of the International Shipmaster’s Association. He was an author and lecturer at Tulane, Southeastern and Wisconsin Law Institutes. He was married on Dec. 28, 1940 and has been a LaGrange resident since 1957. Mr. Robinson passed away on May 7, 2002. 708-352-6500 .
