John P. “Jack” Rooney, age 71, at Terre Haute, IN, formerly of Chicago, U.S. Army Veteran of Korean Conflict and Purple Heart Recipient, beloved husband of Betty, nee Higgins; loving stepfather of Kathleen (Dennis) Warfield, Jerry (Linda) Fitzgerald, Susan (Steve) Hamilton and the late Patrick (Mary Ellen) Fitzgerald; fond son of the late Michael and Ellen Rooney; devoted twin brother of the late William (Geri) Rooney and brother of the late Mary (Jerry) Kasley and the late Mickey (the late Adeline) Rooney; Jack was also dearly loved by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
