This is concerning “Teen gets day in court–but not night at prom; Judge’s decision keeps girl from dance” (Page 1, May 4). Whatever happened to common sense? There was no reason Supt. Kenneth Arndt could not have been flexible and allow “Cinderella and Prince Charming” to attend their high school prom.

We want our children to become involved in school and community activities and yet they get penalized for doing so. Is this the message we are advocating?

If he is so inflexible, what is the need for a superintendent? We can put all the regulations in a computer and obtain “yes” and “no” answers to all of our questions.
