Jean C. Barney, nee Chandler, 74, 50 year resident of Glenview, formerly of Evanston, May 8, beloved wife for 53 years of John; loving mother of Christine Ann (Jack) Pribyl and J. Steven (Janis) Barney; loving grandmother of Breck, Brent and the late Jana Pribyl, Kristin and Katie Barney; fond sister of Russell (Nancy) Chandler; dear aunt of R.J., Bob, Brian, Liza and Jenny. Founder and former officer of the Illinois Junior Golf Association, distinguished inductee of the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame in 1997. Actively involved in numerous community organizations and activities. Memorial visitation Monday 1 p.m. until time of service 2 p.m. at N.H.
