Could you please remind drivers of the following laws:
– A red light means stop.
– A right-turn-on-red maneuver requires the driver to stop, then yield the right-of-way to the other drivers with the green signal. It does not mean keep going and ignore the oncoming driver, hoping they’ll stop for you.
– Turn signals were made to be used before changing lanes, not after.
– Stop signs are not optional.
– An “only” lane (right, left or straight) means just that–only right, only left or only straight.
– If you are parking on the street, the only time you can park on the left-hand side of the street is when you are on a one-way street. All other times, you are facing the wrong way.
– If drivers can’t handle the existence of these laws, then perhaps they shouldn’t drive. I hope police officers and municipalities will help them in their goal to be taken off of the road. At least if the police officers ticket the lawbreakers, those drivers will have a chance of living to see tomorrow.
