I just can’t get over how Dennis Byrne spits out just about anything to brainwash the American people against cloning (“A way around human cloning; Liberals turn a blind eye to promising alternatives like skin cell research,” Commentary, May 6). He refers to a poll that purports to show that the majority favors a cloning ban.
Interestingly the organization behind the poll is called Stop Human Cloning.
Other research techniques may be useful.
But relying exclusively on them when there is a more promising alternative is sheer stupidity. Research that could put an end to human misery is a must.
