I don’t understand the argument in Phil Rogers’ May 3 article: Mike Cameron hits three home runs off Jim Parque and all of a sudden the Sox made a bad trade to get Paul Konerko? I could have hit three homers off Parque that night. Does Rogers understand that Konerko–whom he refers to as a one-dimensional player–just had an 18-game hitting streak and is third in the league in RBIs?
This is the first time I’ve ever heard the Cameron/Konerko trade was bad. Rogers sounds like just another uninformed Cubs fan. Worse, he’s being allowed to write about the Sox.
