If it’s true that “united we stand,” what do we stand for? My father died for this country during World War II and my stepfather was a POW in the Philippines.

I speak for both of them in that we stand for truth and justice.

I am again greatly disappointed in our president when I read “U.S. will `unsign’ global court treaty; White House fears capricious charges” (News, May 5). The international criminal tribunal was designed to prosecute suspects for genocide, crimes against humanity and other war crimes.

I feel that by withdrawing from this treaty we as a country stand against truth and justice. This I will not stand for and neither should you.
