We soon will celebrate Memorial Day. It is a day set aside to remember those men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
Since Sept. 11, that freedom is again at risk. This time it is on home ground and affects each and every one of us personally.
In the busy-ness of our lives, we sometimes forget the magnitude of that brutal attack of hatred on America. Many of the young people do not know very much about World War II.
We should not forget those who lost their lives so that we might enjoy our freedom.
We have at our fingertips the perfect living memorial for all of our fallen fellow Americans. It is to be patient and tolerant toward each other, regardless of race, color or creed.
It is not easy, but are we not a strong nation? It is a gift that keeps on giving.
