A federal judge on Friday sentenced Woodstock insurance executive David Paul Little to 18 months in prison for embezzling more than $95,000 from Alliance National Insurance and its subsidiary, Professional Benefits Planning Corp. Little was president of both companies.

Little, 34, pleaded guilty to embezzlement Feb. 26 for stealing from the Fox Lake-based companies between April 1999 and March 2000. U.S.

District Judge Philip G. Reinhard also ordered Little to 3 years of probation after his release and to pay $102,000 restitution.

Little, who could not be reached for comment, will surrender to authorities to begin serving his term in July.
