Event: The Apparel Industry Board Inc.’s third annual “CHICago . . . we’re RED HOT!” fashion show/fundraiser, at the Chicago Hilton and Towers. To benefit: The board’s scholarships and educational enrichment programs. Evening’s tender: $50,000. The cast: 55 adult models, 24 hair/makeup artists, 2 child models and one hot dog, Koukla, a toy poodle belonging to Maria Pappas, who carried it as she modeled in the celebrity segment where everyone wore designer red. Guest notes: 800 fashion fans and designers. Keynote: Dorothy Fuller, AIBI president, announced the establishment of the Richard H. Driehaus Fund, to help fashion designers develop and produce their collections.
