Oliver Earl of Alexian Village of Milwaukee, died May 23, 2002. He was born in Monticello, KY on Feb. 25, 1917 and grew up on Ponca City, OK. He received a Bachelors Degree from Oklahoma State University and continued graduate studies at the University of Minnesota. On June 3, 1938 he married Dorothy Loftin of Hattiesburg, MS. His career in railroading began with the Chicago & Northwestern Railway and ended with the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad in Chicago. After his retirement, he was appointed by President Carter as the management member of the Railroad Retirement Board from which he retired in 1985. He was a devout Christian and participated actively in the Episcopal church wherever he lived. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Richard of Stockton CA and Leigh of Denver, CO; daughters-in-law, Michelle and Lila; a sister, Mary of Rocky Mount, NC; sisters-in-law, Josephine and Betty Lou; and many muchloved nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 31 at St. Boniface Episcopal Church, 3906 Mequon Rd., Mequon, WI at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Boniface would be appreciated.
