Sharon M. Swanson, nee Gaffin, of Lockport, age 58, died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, John “Jack” Swanson of Lockport; one daughter, Susan (Roland) Swanson of Mokena; one son, Donald McNeil of Grandbury, TX; three stepdaughters, Cynthia (David) Prost of Sugar Grove, Susy (Mike) Marselek of Naperville and Sandra (Mike) Brooks of Pleasant Hill, OR; two stepsons, Eric (Martha) Swanson of Brookfield and Scott Swanson of Denver, CO; 17 grandchildren; one sister, Muriel (Gene) Maniscalo of Long View, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Catherine, nee Connors, Gaffin; one brother, Robert Gaffin. Sharon loved to both listen and dance to music, and she had a special interest in ceramics. Her remains have been cremated. An evening memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at the Forsythe Funeral Chapel, 320 Eastern Ave., Manhattan, Pastor Bill Hannaford officiating.
