Kids can be creative in a big way on the wall of this children’s play room on the basement level of the country French-style home of Laura and Monty Falb in New Buffalo, Mich., one of the stars on the Lakefront SRO Home and Garden Benefit Tour. Lovell & White, the chic home furnishing store in Lakeside, Mich., did the interior design of the house, creating a wall in the kids’ room that is straight out of an old-fashioned schoolroom. The wall was painted with a special chalkboard paint made by Benjamin Moore. It comes only in black and is available locally at Sappano’s, 2940 N. Halsted St., at $12 a quart.
