Lynn M. Koernig, nee Gross, 33, of Longbeach, CA, formerly of Roselle, IL, passed away Tuesday June 11, 2002. She was born October 14, 1968, in Park Ridge, IL. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Stephen Koernig, of Longbeach, CA; parents, Gale and Donna Gross, of Davis, IL; brother, Donald (Jill) Gross of Roselle, IL; sister, Susan Gross, of Austin, TX; mother-in-law, Sharon (Jim) Beck, of Brentwood, CA; sister-in-law, Kristin (finace Sean) Koernig; nephews, Jacob and Zachary Gross, of Roselle, IL; uncle, Kenneth Bell, of Ft. Myers, FL; devoted friends, Michelle Hornbach and Maureen Klement, of Chicago, IL, and many other close friends. She was a 1986 graduate of Lake Park H.S., in Roselle, and a 1990 graduate of U of I in Champaign, IL. She started her career teaching in Bloomingdale and Decatur, IL. She then worked in training, sales, and marketing for two educational product companies. Memorial service will be held 3 p.m. June 19, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 405 S. Rush St., Roselle, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lynn Gross Koernig Scholarship Fund, C/O Harris Bank Roselle, 110 E. Irving Park Rd., Roselle, IL, 60172. A scholarship will be established for a Lake Park H.S. student, entering the field of education.
