Marcella M. Snyder, 77, of Elk Grove Village, a retired bookkeeper, died of complications from a stroke Saturday, June 15, in Manor Care Health Services in Elk Grove Village. Born in Chicago, Mrs. Snyder graduated from Foreman High School and worked as a bookkeeper for more than 30 years. Over the years she worked at a Polk Bros. department store in Chicago, a steel products manufacturer in Des Plaines and a typewriter store and service in Schaumburg. She retired in 1990. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; two sons, Ralph Jr. and Edward; two sisters, Lucille Phelps and Dorothy Rizzo; and five grandchildren. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village. A service will follow in the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 150 Lions Drive, Elk Grove Village.
