The debate over use of school vouchers seems to me to miss the point of the basic argument. That is: many of our public schools are failing, and what should be done to remedy the situation. The voucher solution seems to me, at best, a partial remedy. The root causes of the failing schools remain unaddressed by those in positions of authority.
