In “U.S. mess” (Voice of the people, Aug. 1), the letter writer states that “Bill Clinton gave us the best eight years this nation has ever known … ” I was still in the military during all eight years of Clinton’s term and I would call his administration a lot of things, but “great” is not one of them.
