More Anna: The E! network’s new reality series, “The Anna Nicole Show” continues to be a ratings boon, at least as far as younger viewers are concerned. In the advertiser-coveted adult 18 to 34 demographic, ratings for the second installment of the show hit 3.7, up 6 percent from the premiere, which had set a record at the network in that bracket. The series improved the network’s prime average among adults 18 to 34 by 18 percent over the previous week. The 18 to 49 demographic dropped slightly from 2.8 to 2.7.
The Aug. 4 debut episode set the basic cable reality premiere record with a 4.1 household rating. “Anna Nicole” also became the most-watched program in E!’s history that night. A 25 percent drop in household ratings from the previous week has been attributed to shrinking numbers in the 55+ demographic.
