This is regarding Salim Muwakkil’s “Afro-Colombians suffer the most in the never-ending drug war” (Commentary, Sept. 30). Now there are Afro-Colombians? What’s next, Afro-Africans?
As a person born and bred in Africa and now an American citizen, I can assure you that, although I am a genuine African-American, I am an American now. No one in Colombia would call himself an Afro-Colombian.
