Anna E. Sieben, 98, of Naperville, who worked for 25 years sewing cushion covers for furniture at Kroehler Manufacturing Co., died Wednesday, Oct. 30, in West Chicago Terrace Nursing Home in West Chicago. Mrs. Sieben was the youngest of 10 children on a farm in Grafton, N.D. After graduating from high school, she set off for Illinois and became an assistant for her brother, who had a dental practice in Chicago. She soon moved to Naperville and took a job in Tuberculars Sanitarium, which now is Edward Hospital, said her son, Ralph. She left that job to become a seamstress for Kroehler. In 1924, she married her husband, Roman, who died in 1995. The couple purchased a home in downtown Naperville and lived in it for 50 years before Mrs. Sieben’s health required a move to the nursing facility, her son said. Family members said Mrs. Sieben was an animal lover who always had a dog. “She was a kind, caring person who loved to be around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” her son said. Other survivors include three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville. Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
