Mark R. Singer, 95, beloved husband of the late Ruth B. Singer, nee Miller; cherished father of Diane Maas of St. Charles, MO and Ralph M. Singer of Naperville; dear grandfather of Steve and Lloyd (Nikki) Singer, Mark Maas, Karen (Rick) Eck and Jamie Maas; proud great-grandfather of Dustin, Amanda and Michael Maas and Luke, Paxton and Zachary Singer. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. After attending Lane Tech H.S., Mark earned his B.S. in Ed. from DePaul. He retired in 1973 from a 45 year career as a teacher, coach and principal at various Chicago Public Schools. He was most proud of his Wells H.S. 1937 City Basketball Championship. He was the former owner of Austin School of Athletics and coached a semi-pro women’s basketball team to the U.S. Championship in 1934. Services pending.
