The Osbourne-obsessed know Sharon Osbourne is the boss of America’s favorite dysfunctional family. And the boss said they’re calling it quits after the 10-episode season beginning Nov. 26.
If she had to do it over again, Osbourne said she wouldn’t have invited MTV’s cameras into her home.
“This is definitely the last year,” the colon cancer-stricken matriarch told ABC’s Barbara Walters in an interview that will air on “20/20” at 9 p.m. Wednesday. The show has “changed us all so much,” Osbourne said. Her teenage children now have lawyers and business managers, and her rocker husband Ozzy has begun drinking again in response to her cancer.
“So it’s a little bit invasive right now and we have no privacy. You know when you’re sick, you want to be on your own? I can’t throw up on my own, and Ozzy can’t get drunk on his own,” she said.
But the family hasn’t exactly shunned the spotlight. ABC said Monday that Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly and Jack Osbourne will host the American Music Awards Jan. 13. Daughter Kelly has recorded her own CD that’s due out soon.
