A woman set fire to her apartment after an argument with her husband about his refusal to buy dried fruit and nuts traditionally eaten during the holy month of Ramadan, Egyptian newspapers reported Tuesday.

Dried apricots, figs and nuts are relatively expensive and often can be the cause of domestic strife in Egypt if a family’s wage earner refuses to buy them for Ramadan.
