Steve ‘Giz’ Plaskon, age 79, of Bensenville, beloved husband of Cassie, nee Roark; loving father of Alan (Donna) and Sharon (James) Celebron; dearest grandfather of Allison (Kyle) Brown, Jaime Celebron and Heather and Aaron Plaskon; fond brother of Mary McGee, Helen Dennis, John (Goldie), Alex (Helen), Vera (Karl) Cheban and the late Ann, Peter, Nicholas and Mildred; his devoted caregivers Ryan and Rena. WWII Veteran in the 15th Air Force serving in the 459 Bomb Group, 756 Bomb Squad. He also flew 25 missions in B-24’s as a Gunner and Navigator. Past member of the Bensenville Zoning and Planning Board and the VFW Tioga Post. Was an avid golfer and even scored a hole in one. Graveside Service Saturday 11 a.m. at St. Michael Cemetery, Wheaton.
