Ben Benson, formally known as O.G. Benson III, artist and author, age 74, of Evanston, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, died unexpectedly after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Betty T. Benson; daughters, Kristin and Inga Benson; brothers, Dale Benson, Jon Benson and Bruce Werschem; sister, Sandra Pomerening; and granddaughter, Tashira Dulac. He was a merry spirit who brought joy to many lives and will be missed.
