Why is it that anytime a football team doesn’t have a clear-cut starter, a quarterback “controversy” exists? Northwestern’s Randy Walker is the latest culprit (Tribune, Nov. 3). What in actuality is nothing more than a healthy competition for next year’s QB position, Walker has now deemed a controversy.
Enough sensationalism, OK? Gun control, abortion and America’s potential invasion of Iraq constitute true controversies. The decision as to who will lead the Wildcats to another season of embarrassment hardly qualifies as such.
