As I voted Tuesday, I was dumbstruck that not a single person checked my ID. All that was asked of me was my name. When I got home, I searched the Internet, sure that I had just taken part in election irregularities. But to my amazement and disgust, I found out that I wasn’t. There is no requirement for voting officials to check IDs.

It seems to me that if we want a fair and honest administration in this state, we need to start by holding fair and honest elections. The only way that can happen is if identification is required when voting.
