Alex Bergl, 1921-2002, devoted father, generous friend, entrepreneur, gambler, racing manager and a scoundrel. Alex was larger than life and always lived it to the fullest. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. After practice with customs officials for the past 60 years or so, he has no doubt talked his way past St. Peter and will inevitably liven up things in heaven with his indomitable spirit and sense of humor. Memorial Service to be held on Dec. 15 at 360 East Randolph, Chicago, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
